Using the space in Right Window as both a space to invite her father into San Francisco after being denied a visa to the US in 2017 and to recreate her childhood home, Shedid creates a portal that flattens and twists space allowing multiple stories to exist at the same time.
Here is there and there is here.

The Nature of This Flower Is to Bloom from Revolutionary Petunias.
by Alice Walker
Rebellious. Living.
Against the Elemental Crush.
A Song of Color
Blooming
For Deserving Eyes.
Blooming Gloriously
For its Self.
The work presented in Revolutionary Petunias, created by Musette Perkins, emerges from the depth of her ongoing investigation of color, pattern, and unwavering commitment to beauty.
The majority of the work was created at Perkins' kitchen table studio while sheltering in place and sourced from four books of clip art, which she reimagined through her process of editing, cropping, and combining images. The largest painting in the exhibition was created in the fall of 2018 when Perkins was able to work for three months at Art Explosion Studios in San Francisco, a smaller and more private space. Within this intimate setting, Perkins experimented with a drastically different scale, and with a challenging set of compositional concepts.
Through the clarity of her lines, the application of marks, and her highly personal exploration of color, each painting and drawing becomes its own visual world.
Artwork from the exhibition will be available for purchase by request. Interested patrons are invited to place an inquiry via email at gallery@creativityexplored.org.
Parallel universe. Multiverse. The universe. Earth. Borders. Land. Property. Government. City. Family. Me. Breath. Life. ART. Every found object carries the city's consciousness in its being. This exhibition examines the interplay between objects, space and time. Tarred objects (how deep fossil fuel is involved in our daily life), magnetic fields (planetary attraction and repulsion), and our shared momentary dilemma over taking part in it all.
Francisco. She is a denier of IT IS and a seeker for WHAT IS. Through sound, words, and objects she tries to find balance in everyday chaos. Her publications include a book of poems Death Under Construction and Triangle Squared, three fictional conversations among Duchamp, Cage, and Feldman. More info may be found at: avakoohborarts.com.
Takming Chuang
Latent
December 7, 2020– Jan 23, 2021
In light of COVID-19, this exhibition will not have an opening or closing reception.
Right Window presents Latent, titled after a new sculpture by Takming Chuang that spans diagonally across the exhibition space. Coiled and folded forms rest on a modular structure of interconnected shelves. Made of wet clay wrapped in plastic, they will eventually shrink, wrinkle, dry and harden. In the foreground beside the window, a frame with an embedded photograph of deli meat demonstrates the mutable nature of the material after it has been fully cured. Relating to the body, Chuang takes an interest in the double meaning of “curing,” as relief and as preservation.
About Takming Chuang
Takming Chuang is an artist and an educator based in the San Francisco Bay Area. He is interested in bodily tensions that arise between accepting and resisting change. His sculptures, photographs, prints, and installations involve elements of preservation and transformation to consider how value(s) shift across time. Chuang holds a BA in Economics from Binghamton University and a MFA in Art Practice from UC Berkeley. His work has been recently exhibited at the Hessel Museum at Bard College, SculptureCenter, Headlands Center for the Arts, and the Berkeley Art Museum.
